nTegrator Application Development

The nTegrator Explorer can be used to assemble  components into a hierarchical structure that will represent the logic required to create the application. An application development process consists of three steps:

  1. Creating an empty initial solution

When using the nTegrator explorer, select the menu item "Create Solution". You will be asked to provide a name for the solution and a window will be opened that will provide a "blank canvas" for Step 2.

  1. Designing the application

Drag existing Collections, Data Transports (remember that these are considered to be Web Services) and Agents into the solution window to create the structure required to implement the application. Each time you drop a Data Transport or an Agent on to the the solution window, you will be asked to provide information as to what data it is to use or what function it is to perform. It is recommended that you read one of the Case Studies to see exactly how this step is performed.

  1. Deploying the solution so that is can be accessed from the Internet.

When Step 2 is complete, select "Deploy Solution" from the Explorer menu. You will be asked to specify which users will be permitted to access the application and what security credentials are required.
